About The Position
Nassau Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join their well-established, AAHA-accredited, five-doctor practice. The hospital combines progressive medicine with a welcoming, team-focused culture, offering a collaborative environment where technicians are highly utilized and encouraged to grow their clinical skills. They serve pets and families in the community and have many staff members who have built long-term careers there, prioritizing mentorship, teamwork, and quality medicine.
Requirements
- Active New York State Veterinary Technician License
- Strong technical and anesthesia skills
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Passion for patient care and continued learning
Responsibilities
- Collecting laboratory samples and running diagnostics
- Placing IV catheters and performing venipuncture
- Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with procedures
- Taking dental and full-body radiographs
- Administering medications and vaccines
- Providing client education and discharge instructions
- Supporting patient treatments and nursing care
