Requirements

  • Previous veterinary technician experience or current veterinary technician licensure
  • Strong patient care and technical skills
  • Experience assisting with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
  • Comfort with diagnostic testing and radiography
  • Strong animal handling and restraint skills
  • Knowledge of medication and vaccine administration
  • Excellent client communication and education skills
  • A positive attitude and passion for veterinary medicine
  • The ability to stay calm and focused in a busy hospital environment
  • A team-first mindset and willingness to support your coworkers
  • An eagerness to learn and broaden your veterinary skill set
  • A willingness to celebrate your teammates and the milestones that matter

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to exotic medicine and anesthesia
  • Experience with dental radiography and laser therapy

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with patient exams and treatments
  • Support surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring
  • Safely restrain and handle patients
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care
  • Perform diagnostic testing and process laboratory samples
  • Assist with radiographs and diagnostic imaging
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the medical team
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Educate clients and help them feel confident in their pets’ care
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
