Responsibilities

Assisting Veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
Understanding of medical terminology and products
Safe and fear free animal restraint/handling
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Running lab diagnostics
Radiology techniques (including dental)
Phlebotomy skills / catheter placement
Appropriate sterilization of hospital and equipment
Provide education for clients through effective communication
Anesthesia monitoring including pre and post op
Machine maintenance
Appropriate record keeping
