About The Position

St. Georges Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to help provide care to patients and clients and support healthier lives for pets and their families. Technicians work closely with veterinarians and participate in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. The ideal candidate is experienced and confident in patient rooming, surgery assistance, animal handling and restraint, radiography and positioning, client education, IV catheter placement, blood collection, and running bloodwork. Requirements

• At least 2 years of veterinary experience.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of vaccines and how to administer them.
• Experience dispensing and administering medication.
• Ability to obtain complete patient histories and maintain medical records.
• Knowledge of pharmacology calculations and surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
• Experience with venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Positive team-player attitude and willingness to continue learning.

Responsibilities
