About Our Hospital At VCA Sand Lake Animal Hospital, you’ll join a collaborative 5-doctor team focused on general practice and preventive care. The Role As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and creating a positive client experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, is passionate about patient care, and is eager to grow within a supportive team.

Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) or eligible to sit for the VTNE
  • A curious, lifelong learner eager to grow in a dynamic and fulfilling career
  • A team player with a passion for pets and high-quality care

Responsibilities

  • Assist in surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-operative recovery
  • Perform dental cleanings, charting, and radiographs
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the DVM
  • Collect samples and perform in-house laboratory diagnostics
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and home care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
