Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician; licensed technicians are encouraged to apply
- Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
- Experience assisting with surgery and providing high-quality nursing care
- Safe, compassionate patient handling and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of preventative care and vaccination protocols
- Excellent communication skills with clients and teammates
- A positive attitude, reliability, and passion for veterinary medicine
Responsibilities
- Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Provide compassionate nursing care from patient admission through discharge
- Administer medications, vaccines, treatments, and fluid therapy as directed
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostic testing
- Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records while supporting exceptional patient care
