About The Position
San Antonio Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, full-time veterinary technician to join its established, close-knit team. The hospital is a full-service veterinary practice that has cared for pets in San Antonio, Florida, and surrounding communities for more than 25 years. It provides compassionate, high-quality medicine and builds lasting relationships with clients and patients. The team works collaboratively in a supportive environment that values technical skills and teamwork. The technician will use their skills in animal handling and restraint, phlebotomy, in-house diagnostics, and supporting veterinarians during appointments and procedures. The schedule includes 8-hour shifts or variable scheduling, Monday through Saturday. Requirements
- Experience with safe and effective animal handling and restraint.
- Experience performing phlebotomy in cats and dogs.
- Experience with in-house diagnostics, including reading fecal samples and performing ear and skin cytology.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with surgery and anesthesia.
- Credentialed as a CVT, RVT, or LVT, or eligible for licensure based on state requirements.
