Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Nurse/Technician in good standing
  • 1-3 years working as a Veterinary Nurse/Technician in a clinical hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in medical record-keeping and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) certification is a plus.
  • Students currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program and on track for credentialing are also encouraged to apply.
  • Brings an in-depth understanding and application of veterinary procedures, regulations, and policies, and the ability to stay updated on advancements in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Client Communication: Effectively gather accurate medical histories, clearly explain procedures and treatment plans, and provide thorough discharge instructions to ensure clients fully understand their pet’s care.
  • Advanced Medical Care: Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical exams, deliver diagnostics and treatments under veterinary supervision, interpret diagnostic results to support care planning, and provide advanced veterinary nursing care. Responsibilities include medication administration, advanced imaging and ultrasound support, anesthesia management, and emergency response including CPR (Hospital Sponsored RECOVER Certification provided to all employees!).
  • Patient Care and Management: Manage patient flow from admission through discharge, ensure timely completion of procedures and treatment plans, and coordinate across other servicer and client care to support efficient patient admits, transfers, checkouts and client follow-up.
  • Cross Service Collaboration: Collaborate closely with veterinarians and support team members across all services by communicating patient histories and assessment findings, supporting treatment plan development, and ensuring all care, treatments, and procedures are approved and implemented under veterinary direction.
  • Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records by documenting all patient interactions, treatments, and procedures, creating client-facing documents such as discharge instructions and treatment plans, and ensuring all records are reviewed and approved by the supervising veterinarian.

Benefits
