About The Position

Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Intermediate Care/Patient Care Team. As a Vet Tech in the Intermediate Care/Patient Care department, you will be responsible for collecting samples, placing IV catheters, preparing IV fluids and additives, administering medication, and measuring blood pressure. You must be able to prioritize procedures and delegate tasks. You will also triage emergencies, prepare and present estimates, admit patients to the hospital, and discharge patients. Additionally, you will assist in preparing diagnostics including radiographs and lab work, work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and demonstrate compassion in all levels of patient care. The schedule is an overnight schedule, TBD, with 3/12-hour shifts.

Requirements

  • RVT's: 2 - 3 years' experience in a progressive veterinary hospital required.
  • VA's: 3 - 4 years' experience in a progressive veterinary hospital required.
  • VA graduate from accredited program will be considered
