Arlington Pet Hospital and Resort is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their dedicated team. Requirements

  • Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience.
  • An active veterinary technician license for candidates applying as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
  • A genuine passion for pets, veterinary medicine, and exceptional patient care.
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • The confidence to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
  • A positive, supportive approach grounded in teamwork and mutual respect.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Assist with examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and surgical care.
  • Anticipate the needs of the veterinary team to promote efficient hospital workflow.
  • Use sound clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills when supporting patient care.
  • Communicate compassionately and professionally with clients about their pets' care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and clearly document treatments and client communication.
  • Help maintain clean, organized, stocked, and treatment-ready clinical areas.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Support teammates by asking for help when needed and offering help whenever possible.
  • Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and professional-development opportunities.
