About The Position

American Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and enthusiastic Veterinary Technician to join their well-established four-doctor practice. This role is ideal for a candidate who is confident, compassionate, and skilled in daily veterinary nursing responsibilities. The position requires comfort and experience with venipuncture, radiology (including dental radiographs), anesthesia and surgical monitoring, animal restraint, pharmacy duties, and in-patient nursing care. A strong interest in veterinary medicine, excellent attention to detail, and outstanding client communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being part of a close-knit team. Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgery, dentistry, and appointments
  • Perform phlebotomy and prepare in-house and reference lab samples
  • Place IV catheters and utilize microscope and centrifuge equipment
  • Accurately dispense medications and maintain pharmaceutical records
  • Provide compassionate client support, including assisting with euthanasia
  • Maintain thorough, accurate medical records and support billing accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members to promote efficient workflow and patient care
