About The Position

Countryside Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling, including nights, rotating weekends, and rotating holidays. The hospital is a 9-doctor small animal practice that is AAHA accredited and focuses on a Cat Friendly approach, progressive medicine, and exceptional patient care. They are looking for a technician who values teamwork, growth, and high-quality medicine. Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred
  • Experienced veterinary assistant or technician candidates are welcome
  • Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Monitor patients and provide supportive nursing care, including TPRs, pain scoring, and wound care
  • Educate clients on patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care
  • Support surgical and anesthesia procedures while maintaining excellent patient safety standards
