About The Position

Aspen Grove Veterinary Care is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their team. This is a full-time or part-time position, requiring Saturdays. The practice is a busy and rapidly growing small animal facility offering a wide range of services from preventive care to internal medicine, surgery, and urgent care. They are looking for individuals who want a role where their skills are fully utilized, their growth is supported, and they can practice high-quality medicine. The veterinary nurses are utilized to their fullest potential, and the practice offers advanced diagnostic, surgical, dental, and therapeutic technology.

Requirements

  • Previous veterinary assistant experience or Registered Veterinary Technician credentials
  • A strong foundation of veterinary technical skills
  • Experience with anesthetic monitoring
  • Confidence performing blood draws and running in-house diagnostics
  • Experience assisting with diagnostic imaging
  • Strong patient care and nursing skills
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate medical documentation
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive care throughout procedures and recovery
  • Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples
  • Run in-house laboratory diagnostics
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging, including digital radiography and ultrasound
  • Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients
  • Maintain accurate medical notes and patient documentation
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide efficient, high-quality patient care
  • Deliver an outstanding experience for pets and their people
