About The Position

Greenland Veterinary Hospital is seeking certified veterinary technicians who want to feel valued and make a difference in the lives of people and their pets. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, with a closure on Wednesdays from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. We are closed on weekends.

Requirements

  • Certified veterinary technician
  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases

  • Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow

Responsibilities

  • Phlebotomy
  • Catheter placement
  • Cystocentesis
  • Fine-needle aspirates
  • Animal restraint
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Surgical prep
  • Running treatments on appointments
  • Patient care
  • Interpret medical records
  • Record client history accurately
  • Sample collection (blood, urine, fecal, skin)
  • Setting up and processing laboratory samples and tests
  • Positioning and capturing radiographs
  • Anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery
