Requirements

At least two years of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting
Experience with venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and patient handling
Confidence working in a busy, collaborative practice
Excellent communication and organizational skills
A positive attitude and commitment to exceptional patient care

Responsibilities

Partner with veterinarians during exams and medical procedures
Prepare patients for surgery and assist throughout surgical and dental procedures
Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive patient recovery care
Collect blood, urine, and other laboratory samples
Place intravenous catheters and administer treatments as directed
Take high-quality digital radiographs
Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
Educate pet owners on medications, home care, and preventive health
Maintain complete and accurate medical records
Help create a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
