Veterinary Technician
About The Position
The Cat Doctor, a Gold-Level Feline Friendly Practice, is seeking 2-3 Registered Veterinary Technicians (or recent graduates awaiting the VTNE) to join their growing team. This is a progressive, well-equipped clinic where technicians are encouraged to utilize their full skill set. Responsibilities include performing technician appointments for services such as vaccine boosters, blood draws, and nail trims. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of veterinary care, including surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory testing, and client education. There are also shared care responsibilities for a small boarding facility.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or recent graduate awaiting VTNE.
- Cat-savvy.
- Positive team player.
- Comfortable with fear-free handling.
- Enjoys connecting with clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform technician appointments for patients needing vaccine boosters, blood draws, nail trims, etc.
- Provide care in surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, pharmacy, radiology, and laboratory testing.
- Educate clients on animal care.
- Share care responsibilities for the boarding facility.
