Our hours of operation are: Mon - Fri: 8:00am - 6:00pm Closed Wednesdays from 12pm-2pm We are closed on weekends.

Requirements

Certified veterinary technician
Strong computer skills
Excellent customer care skills

Strong desire to learn
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
Top-notch technical skills
Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work

Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow

Nice To Haves

1+ year experience preferred but not required
Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests, preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Phlebotomy
Catheter placement
Cystocentesis
Fine-needle aspirates
Animal restraint
Anesthesia monitoring
Surgical prep
Running treatments on appointments
Patient care
Interpret medical records
Record client history accurately
Restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
Sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
Properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
Positioning and capturing radiographs
Anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery
