Bernardsville Animal Hospital is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, located in Bernardsville, New Jersey. We aim to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. We are currently looking to hire an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team.
Requirements
- Experienced as a Veterinary Technician
- Experience working with industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Ability to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint
- Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Saturday shifts are required
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients
- Surgical assisting
- Drawing blood and running bloodwork
- Knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning
- Proper animal handling and restraint
- Client education
- Electronic medical recording and data entry
