Veterinary Technician - Overnight
About The Position
Garden State Veterinary Services Woodbridge is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join its busy emergency and specialty hospital. The hospital is part of a family of hospitals with more than 30 years of history and a team-driven culture emphasizing trust, continuity, and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves supporting emergency and specialty veterinary care, including anesthesia and procedures, patient monitoring, diagnostic sampling, radiology, and transfusions. The position is located at 1200 Route 9 North, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Available schedules run Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday through Wednesday, with overnight hours. Pay is $23–$35 per hour, plus an overnight differential. Sign-on bonuses are offered for full-time veterinary technicians and credentialed veterinary technicians.
Requirements
- CVT/LVT credential preferred, or at least 2 years of technician experience.
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate, positive, and honest, with a commitment to excellent care.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Nice To Haves
- CVT/LVT credential.
- Fluency in additional languages.
Responsibilities
- Assist with anesthesia, sedation, and procedures.
- Set up CRIs and perform medical calculations.
- Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy.
- Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate care.
- Collect diagnostic samples and maintain records.
- Position patients for radiology and follow radiology safety practices.
- Prepare blood and plasma transfusions.
