About The Position
VCA Westbury Animal Hospital and Pet Care Center is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a 4-doctor primary care practice located in Dorchester County, SC. The practice emphasizes excellent customer service, gold standard medicine, and teamwork. Their operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 8 pm, Friday from 8:30 am to 6 pm, and Saturday from 8:30 am to 2 pm. They are closed on Sundays. Responsibilities
- Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
- Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience.
- Provide exceptional care to every patient.
- Perform physical examinations and patient assessment.
- Monitor anesthesia.
- Prepare for and assist in surgeries.
- Perform dentistry.
- Conduct radiology.
- Perform laboratory work.
- Perform venipuncture.
- Perform catheter placement.
- Dispense medication from the pharmacy.
- Provide patient recovery care.
- Provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals.
