Requirements

  • Previous Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
  • Strong patient handling and nursing skills
  • Knowledge of preventive care and vaccine protocols

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care from intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
  • Support daily hospital operations and assist wherever needed
  • Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations and procedures
  • Educate clients on preventive care, treatments, and follow-up recommendations
  • Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional patient and client care
