Requirements

  • Four years of veterinary experience or a valid Veterinary Technician license required
  • Strong surgical nursing skills required
  • Excellent patient care and animal handling abilities
  • Strong communication and client education skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients, coworkers, and leadership
  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
  • Desire to continue learning and growing professionally
  • Compassion, patience, and professionalism in challenging situations

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Utilize strong surgical nursing and anesthesia monitoring skills
  • Safely handle and restrain patients during treatments and procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and support nursing care needs
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
  • Educate clients on treatments, medications, and preventive care recommendations
  • Assist with laboratory diagnostics and sample collection
  • Support daily hospital operations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care and client service
