About The Position

Caring Hands Clarendon is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. Caring Hands Animal Hospitals are large, well-equipped, AAHA-accredited facilities. We offer convenient hours six days a week and have an open-door policy to provide excellent service to our clients. Our full-service hospitals offer state of the art care for our patients including computerized patient records, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory. Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
