About The Position
The Veterinary Center at Fishhawk is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a full-time position with a flexible 4 or 5-day work week and rotating Saturdays. The practice is a four-doctor facility that emphasizes exceptional patient care through an exceptional team, valuing the unique strengths of each technician and fostering an environment for continuous learning, professional growth, and enjoyment in their work. Requirements
- Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, and radiology
- Compassionate patient care and exceptional client communication skills

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgical procedures, and dental procedures
- Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures
- Collect and process laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs
- Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Educate clients on medications, preventive care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Anticipate the needs of the veterinary team to promote efficiency and exceptional patient care
- Maintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas while following hospital safety protocols
