About The Position

Lucerne Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team of three full-time veterinarians and 15 dedicated support staff. We're searching for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, and values building lasting relationships with clients through compassionate communication. Our AAHA-accredited hospital offers preventive care, urgent care, dentistry, general surgery, advanced orthopedic procedures, digital radiography (including dental radiology), ultrasound, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory, giving you opportunities to continue building your knowledge and technical skills every day.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)
  • A passion for exceptional patient care and client education

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients
  • Perform laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and patient treatments
  • Educate clients about preventative care, treatment recommendations, and patient wellness
  • Monitor anesthesia and support patients through surgical procedures, if licensed and trained
  • Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care
  • Help create a positive experience for both patients and their families
