About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Lakewood/Tacoma, Washington, is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician for its Internal Medicine department. The role involves providing advanced patient care while working alongside skilled technicians and assistants, and mentoring and training coworkers. The stated pay range is $26–$43 per hour, with actual pay dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system. The schedule is 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).

Responsibilities

Triage patients and obtain patient histories.
Identify patients at risk for cardiac arrest and initiate CPR.
Place IVCs and advanced catheters, including jugular catheters, central lines, and PICC lines.
Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
Work with technicians and assistants to provide advanced veterinary medicine and patient care.
Mentor and train coworkers.
