Veterinary Technician Supervisor, Urgent Care
About The Position
PEAK Veterinary Referral Center in Williston, VT is seeking an Urgent Care Clinical Supervisor. This role is for a skilled veterinary technician passionate about leadership and patient care, who enjoys a fast-paced environment and helping others grow. The supervisor will guide clinical and administrative teams, ensuring efficient operations and a culture of compassion. The position is a hybrid of 75% hands-on technician work and 25% administrative duties, focusing on leading teams, managing staffing, developing staff, ensuring excellent client care, performing technical duties, and overseeing hospital operations.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a supervisory role
- Veterinary technician background (technical expertise is a must)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative, team-focused mindset
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment
- Confidence in coaching others, handling sensitive conversations, and leading with empathy
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and daily support to clinical and client service teams.
- Monitor staffing needs, approve payroll, and ensure coverage for exceptional patient care and client experience.
- Conduct regular team check-ins, participate in hiring and reviews, and partner with training teams to support ongoing learning.
- Promote a hospitality-first culture, resolve concerns, and ensure every visit meets high standards.
- Provide top-tier medical support, including triage, diagnostics, patient monitoring, and client communication.
- Serve as the point person for department needs, equipment issues, and interdepartmental coordination.
