PESCM, located in San Rafael, is the only 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin County, with specialties in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Urgent Care, Emergency, Radiology, and Critical Care. Requirements

2+ years working in a veterinary clinic
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community we serve
Reliable, organized, and committed to provide high level care to our patients and clients
A craving for lifelong learning and continuous improvements
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
Honesty, integrity, and a desire to have fun!

Nice To Haves

Registered Veterinary Technician preferred but not required
Emergency or Specialty experience preferred, but not required
Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection
Diagnostic imaging assistance and basic interpretation (radiographs, ultrasound support)
Anesthesia monitoring (vitals, depth assessment, adjustments)
Medication calculation and administration (IV, IM, SQ, CRIs)
Fluid therapy setup and maintenance
Surgical prep, sterile technique, and instrument handling
Patient monitoring (vitals, pain scoring, trend recognition)
Nursing care for hospitalized patients (nutrition, wound care, hygiene)
