About The Position
Alta Vista Specialty and Emergency has an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Technician to join our established network of highly skilled professionals. You will have an opportunity to use your skills to the fullest potential! Our veterinary technicians are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our hospital. You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement in many specialty cases.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years as a practicing Veterinary Technician
Responsibilities
- Organize daily bookings and prepare caseload file information for Veterinarians and neurology team
- Point of contact between Veterinarian, Pet Owner and specialty departments
- Experience with and willing to enhance technical skills; anesthesia, CRI’s, epidurals and mechanical ventilators
- Work closely with the ICU team and treatment team and assist where necessary
- Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues
- Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
- Strong ability to problem-solve
