About The Position

Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA-accredited hospital in Washington D.C., is seeking a veterinary technician to join its Oncology team. This role involves working closely with the oncology team to support patients through diagnostics and treatment. The position requires strong client education and communication skills, proficiency in venipuncture, medical math, and comfort with following strict protocols for chemotherapy agents. Attention to detail, organization, and teamwork are essential.

Requirements

• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in specialty medicine.
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to work with a diverse team.
• Attention to detail and organization.
• Team player.
