About The Position

Sanford Animal Hospital is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant for its fast-paced, team-oriented small animal practice. The role is central to patient care, supporting veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, laboratory work, diagnostics, and radiographs while providing compassionate service to patients and clients. Responsibilities may vary according to hospital needs and the employee’s experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned duties.

The hospital emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and a supportive workplace. The schedule is four days per week, with no weekends and a consistent weekday off for each team member. Part-time work may be considered for the right candidate. Compensation is competitive and based on experience and skill set.

Requirements

• At least one year of veterinary assistant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Veterinary technician licensure is welcomed but not required.
• Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations and treatments.
• Restrain patients safely, gently, and compassionately.
• Prepare exam rooms and help maintain smooth patient flow.
• Collect fecal, urine, and blood samples, including venipuncture when applicable.
• Perform in-house laboratory work and assist with diagnostics.
• Take and process radiographs.
• Maintain accurate medical records in EzyVet practice management software.
• Communicate clearly and kindly with team members and clients.
• Help keep the hospital clean, organized, and ready for patients.
