Whether it's helping diagnose a torn ligament, staging cancer, identifying a neurological condition, or guiding emergency treatment, our Diagnostic Imaging team plays a vital role in every corner of the hospital. We're looking for a Technician Assistant – Diagnostic Imaging who enjoys staying organized, working with advanced technology, and helping patients receive exceptional care. As a Technician Assistant, you'll work alongside our radiologists, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians to keep our imaging service running efficiently. You'll help with: Patient Care: Prepare patients for radiographs, ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and other imaging procedures. Safely restrain patients during imaging studies while following radiation safety protocols. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and recovery. Monitor patient comfort and communicate concerns to the medical team. Imaging Operations: Coordinate daily imaging schedules for multiple specialty services. Prepare imaging equipment and examination rooms for scheduled and emergency procedures. Ensure diagnostic studies are properly labeled, archived, and available for interpretation. Coordinate imaging requests with Emergency, ICU, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, and other specialty teams. Department Support: Maintain imaging equipment and assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Stock supplies and monitor inventory. Keep imaging suites clean, organized, and ready for the next patient. Support pharmacy and administrative tasks within department guidelines. More Than Just Imaging: While your primary home will be our Diagnostic Imaging department, AERC is a collaborative hospital. Our Technician Assistants are expected to: Support other hospital departments when operational needs require. Participate in after-hours support through an assigned on-call rotation or by assisting our Emergency & Critical Care department during weekends, holidays, or other high-volume periods. Work as part of one hospital team focused on exceptional patient care.
