  • Minimum 1 year of veterinary receptionist experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients with warmth and empathy, assisting with various client needs.
  • Ensure efficient phone management, answering calls promptly, processing voicemails, and triaging calls for technicians and veterinarians.
  • Schedule appointments for new and existing patients, collect necessary patient data, place reminder calls, and encourage forward booking.
  • Maintain medical records by recording client interactions, messages, patient updates, obtaining records from referring practices, and alerting them to patient euthanasia.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy reception desk, lobby, and coffee station, and assist with cleaning exam rooms.
  • Manage correspondence including mailing information, answering/triaging emails, alerting veterinarians to faxes, and processing incoming mail.
  • Handle financial transactions, including collecting payment, assisting with CareCredit applications, reconciling the credit machine, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Obtain and maintain a Washington State Medical Clerk License.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Potentially attend Continuing Education courses or seminars.
