About The Position
Grady Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist. This full-time role offers a salary of $20.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a schedule of weekdays and Saturdays. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our compassionate and collaborative team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, keeping a busy hospital running smoothly, and helping create an exceptional experience for pets and their owners. Our Veterinary Receptionists are the first point of contact for clients and play a vital role in supporting both our medical team and our patients. Requirements
- Previous veterinary reception experience preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical records
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- Confidence using computer software and practice management systems
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and patients with professionalism and compassion
- Answer multi-line phones, emails, and client inquiries
- Schedule appointments and manage daily hospital communications
- Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient records
- Coordinate client referrals and medical record requests
- Maintain organized patient files and hospital documentation
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
- Educate clients on hospital services and basic preventive care information
- Support daily hospital operations through organization and front desk coordination
