Requirements

Previous veterinary reception experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Professional, compassionate approach to clients, patients, and coworkers
Confidence using computers and learning veterinary practice-management software
Ability to follow established procedures and treatment protocols
Positive, dependable, and team-oriented mindset
Genuine passion for creating an exceptional client experience

Responsibilities

Welcome clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
Answer incoming calls and provide exceptional customer service
Schedule appointments, manage reminders, and support the daily appointment calendar
Check clients and patients in and out while maintaining accurate records
Process payments and review invoices with clients
Communicate with clients regarding appointments, reminders, and follow-up care
Use a friendly, client-centered approach that helps pet owners feel comfortable discussing their needs
Explain hospital services and basic pet-care information clearly and compassionately
Follow hospital Standard Operating Procedures
Support an efficient practice workflow and positive client experience
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
