About The Position

Companion Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. The role requires comfort with various medical outcomes and the ability to manage unpleasant odors, noises, and potential exposure to animal waste, bites, scratches, and contagious diseases. Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred
Compassionate
Calm demeanor

Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

Proficient in sample collection
Obtaining medical histories
Processing laboratory tests and radiographs

Responsibilities

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
Greet and welcome clients and patients
Answer questions and triage client concerns
Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
Check in and check out clients
Process payments
Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients
Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
Withstand unpleasant odors and noises
Be prepared for potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
