Veterinary Receptionist
About The Position
Plum Creek Regional Animal Medical Center is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their fast-paced team. This role is crucial for maintaining the hospital's reception area, welcoming clients and patients, answering questions, triaging concerns, and managing communications. The receptionist will be responsible for scheduling appointments efficiently, checking clients in and out, and processing payments. A key aspect of this role is providing compassionate emotional support to clients during difficult times, requiring comfort with various medical outcomes. The position involves exposure to unpleasant odors, noises, potential bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Highly organized
- Possess computer skills
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
- Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
- May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases

Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
- Greet and welcome clients and patients
- Answer questions and triage client concerns
- Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- Check in and check out clients
- Process payments
- Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients
- Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
