Requirements

  • Previous veterinary reception or veterinary client-service experience

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client questions
  • Schedule and coordinate veterinary appointments
  • Check clients and patients in and out efficiently
  • Communicate important information between clients and the medical team
  • Maintain accurate client and patient information
  • Process payments and assist with client transactions
  • Help clients understand hospital services, recommendations, and next steps
  • Recognize potentially urgent concerns and communicate them appropriately to the medical team
  • Provide compassionate support during stressful or emotional situations
  • Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and efficient reception area
  • Balance multiple priorities while maintaining excellent client service
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and fellow reception team members
  • Participate in cross-training and continued learning opportunities
  • Take ownership of responsibilities and help identify ways to improve the client and team experience
  • Jump in wherever needed to support clients, patients, and coworkers
