Experienced Veterinary Receptionist
About The Position
At Inwood Animal Clinic, we specialize in quality veterinary care for pets of all ages. We are available to address any potential issues, so our patients will enjoy a lifetime of great health. Our goal is to deliver top-quality care for every animal that walks through our doors. We've been serving New York City since 2008. We're conveniently located on Broadway between Academy Street and 204th Street. The receptionist role involves greeting clients and patients, answering questions, triaging concerns, handling calls and emails, scheduling appointments, maintaining the reception area's appearance, and processing check-ins, check-outs, and payments. Receptionists also provide emotional support to clients during difficult times and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The clinic offers opportunities for growth through virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
- Fluent in Spanish and English preferred
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Highly organized
- Possess computer skills
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
Responsibilities
- Greeting clients and patients
- Answering questions and triaging client concerns
- Answering calls or emails and directing them to the appropriate party for resolution
- Scheduling appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- Maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
- Checking in and checking out clients
- Processing payments
- Offering friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients
- Being comfortable with various medical outcomes
