About The Position
The Veterinary Center at Fishhawk is looking for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team. Our Veterinary Receptionists are the face of our practice. You’ll play an important part in our reputation in the community and in supporting our clients and patients with great customer service. We keep things positive, supportive, and fun. Life is short, so we laugh a lot, keep learning, and take care of our clients, each other, and ourselves.
Requirements
- A positive attitude and a good sense of humor
- Empathy for clients, teammates, and yourself
- A desire to grow, learn, and grow some more
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to juggle phones, appointments, and in-person clients
- Patience to listen as clients explain why their dog, cat, bird, rat, goat, or chicken is the best one ever
- Availability for rotating Saturday shifts
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple phone lines with a friendly, helpful approach
- Book and coordinate appointments
- Greet clients and their pets warmly
- Process payments accurately
- Keep the reception area clean and comfortable for clients
- Support clients and patients with great customer service from check-in to checkout
