About The Position

Walkertown Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions and triaging client concerns, handling calls and emails, scheduling appointments efficiently, and processing check-ins, check-outs, and payments. The receptionist will also provide emotional support to clients during difficult times and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The role may involve exposure to loud barking and unpleasant odors. The hospital offers opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
Greet and welcome clients and patients
Answer questions and triage client concerns
Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
Check in and check out clients
Process payments
Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients
Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
May be exposed to loud barking and brief periods of unpleasant odors
