Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist
About The Position
Mountain Emergency Animal Center is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist for their fast-paced 4-doctor emergency animal practice in Blue Ridge, GA. The practice offers comprehensive care including Urgent Care, Emergency & Critical Care, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Full In-House Laboratory, and In-House Pharmacy. The role involves maintaining the reception area's visual appeal, greeting clients and patients, answering questions, triaging concerns, managing calls and emails, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and processing payments. Receptionists must provide compassionate emotional support to clients during difficult times and be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The job may involve exposure to unpleasant odors, noises, bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. The company offers opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
- Compassionate and calm team-player
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organized
- Possess computer skills
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
