About The Position

Lenoir City Animal Clinic is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both people and pets, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent client service. This part-time position will work 2–3 weekdays per week plus a rotating Saturday schedule (approximately 2 Saturdays per month) and plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for clients while supporting the daily flow of the hospital.

Requirements

Previous veterinary receptionist experience preferred
Experience in a medical, dental, or other fast-paced healthcare front desk role considered
Strong customer service and communication skills
Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Comfortable handling phones, scheduling software, and payment processing
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn veterinary software
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Must be available to work 2–3 weekdays each week and rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities

Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client questions
Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment flow
Check clients in and out efficiently and accurately
Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
Communicate clearly with clients regarding services, estimates, and follow-up care
Maintain patient records and update client information in the practice management system
Support veterinarians and technicians with administrative and clerical tasks
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
Provide excellent customer service while multitasking in a busy clinical environment
