Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist
About The Position
Wolftever Pet Wellness Group is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist. This role involves maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions, triaging client concerns, handling calls and emails, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and processing payments. The receptionist will also provide friendly emotional support to clients during difficult times and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The position requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. Opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development are available.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Highly organized
- Possess computer skills
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
- Fluent in Spanish and English preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
- Greet and welcome clients and patients
- Answer questions and triage client concerns
- Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- Check in and check out clients
- Process payments
- Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients
- Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
- Withstand unpleasant odors and noises
- Handle potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
