Veterinary Receptionist
About The Position
Canobie Lake Veterinary Hospital is a 5-doctor, full-service small animal practice providing general medicine, surgery, and dentistry services. The practice has three hospitals across Southern New Hampshire and is AAHA-accredited. They emphasize honesty, kindness, compassion, and client/staff education. The hospital is well-equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a paperless record system, digital radiography, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. They focus on nutrition, preventative care, diagnostics, and treatment plans. The veterinarian to staff ratio is 1:7, with highly trained staff supporting the veterinarians. The Windham location offers a mix of rural and urban environments with access to outdoor activities and no general sales or personal income tax.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Highly organized and possess computer skills
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
- Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
- May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
- Greet and welcome clients and patients
- Answer questions and triage client concerns
- Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- Check in and check out clients and process payments
- Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients
- Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
