About The Position

South Orange Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist! Our receptionists are the welcoming faces (and voices!) that help pets get the care they need and ensure their owners feel supported every step of the way. We’re a long-standing, community-focused practice that values compassion, teamwork, and a genuine love of animals. Requirements

Excellent communication and customer service skills
A friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Comfort with multitasking in a fast-paced environment
A genuine love for animals and the people who care for them

Nice To Haves

Prior veterinary or medical office experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for our clients and a vital member of our care team
Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
Answer phones, route calls appropriately, and respond to voicemails promptly
Schedule appointments and manage a multi-doctor calendar efficiently
Check patients in/out and ensure accurate client and patient information
Collect payments, process invoices, and review estimates with clients
