About The Position

South Orange Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist! We are a long-standing, community-focused practice that values compassion, teamwork, and a genuine love of animals. Our receptionists are the welcoming faces (and voices!) that help pets get the care they need and ensure their owners feel supported every step of the way. We are looking for someone who is friendly, organized, and loves helping others.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Comfort with multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine love for animals and the people who care for them

Nice To Haves

• Prior veterinary or medical office experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for our clients and a vital member of our care team
• Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
• Answer phones, route calls appropriately, and respond to voicemails promptly
• Schedule appointments and manage a multi-doctor calendar efficiently
• Check patients in/out and ensure accurate client and patient information
• Collect payments, process invoices, and review estimates with clients
