About The Position

My Pet's Veterinary Urgent Care & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and versatile Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join their team. This dual-role position involves being a vital part of both the medical support team and reception staff. Responsibilities include assisting in the treatment area, greeting clients at the front desk, answering phones, checking clients and patients in and out, patient restraint and handling, cleaning and maintaining hospital areas, assisting DVMs, and providing minor patient care and support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working as part of the entire veterinary team and assisting wherever needed. This role requires balancing excellent customer service with hands-on patient support in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
  • Proficiency in managing a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
  • Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations
  • Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
  • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team
  • Safe animal handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
  • Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience
