About The Position
Join the PIPESTONE Veterinary Team as a Veterinary Physician Assistant in the Orange City, IA Area. PIPESTONE Veterinary Services is looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Veterinary Physician Assistant to join their fast-paced swine health team. This role involves supporting independent family farms, solving animal health challenges, and making a meaningful impact on animal agriculture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of livestock industry experience
- Previous swine industry experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel as needed
Responsibilities
- Partner with veterinarians to identify disease challenges through sample collection and on-farm assessments
- Build strong relationships with pig farmers and become a trusted advisor for their operations
- Develop and promote proactive herd health programs
- Lead producer education initiatives, including: PQA+ Certification, Site Assessments, Secure Pork Plans, and additional producer training programs
