Veterinary Oncologist
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a full-time Oncologist to help launch a new oncology service at our Pittsburgh South location (Washington, PA). This is an incredible opportunity to build a specialty service within a thriving, collaborative, and well-supported network across the greater Pittsburgh market. We promote a collegial, supportive environment rooted in shared passion, knowledge, and clinical excellence. You'll have the unique ability to shape a new service offering while stepping into a market with a strong, existing oncology caseload and a robust referral base. Our team includes three board-certified Oncologists across the Pittsburgh area. You’ll be joining a tight-knit group with access to strong internal support, including: 7 criticalists across Pittsburgh locations, a house officer program with rotating interns, ECC interns and residents, and surgical interns and residents, and on-site and regional specialists providing collaborative, cross-disciplinary patient care.
Requirements
- Board certification in Oncology.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Completion of a specialty internship or residency in Oncology.
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in veterinary oncology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in building or leading a specialty service.
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities.
- Experience with a robust referral base.
